So, I get woken up at like, six AM in the morning, to get ready to where we're headed, a football field as usual. With a park. A glorious, slide containing park.
I get to lookin' fresh as bored as humanly possible and also as 'oh my god I almost feel down the stairs again, just do it already make me fall down these stairs, punish me for being a naturally safe person' as well.
My entire family jumps into the car, (later I figure out I could've brought my IPad and listened to some sweet music, so I had a bit of a mini internal tantrum) and sped off. The usual happens, my four brothers fight over the back seat,(it is the best seat in our car actually) my little sister doesn't wear her damn seatbelt (I swear she is so lucky we never have car accidents), and we arrive tired as hell from car lag or whatever you wanna call it.
When we got to the park, we enjoyed it as much as possible, frolicking around like we're complete idiots. When of course we're only partially.
We have a good time, go to have the huge praying thing, I do not listen at all to what the preacher is saying, I sleep most of the time, get some chocolate and we're back in the car to go to a great restaurant called Eggspectations. I finally got a good chance to draw something, and made a new friend with one of my mom's friend's kid. She was interested in art to. The other one didn't seem like they wanted to talk to me, just more the rest of the others.
We all finished our food, (we actually didn't even eat breakfast that morning) fought over a crepe, and headed back home to collapse fat and happy. The people my parents had invited with us to the restaurant
But, not for long. A short time later, my parents both asked if we wanted to go to the mall or some shit. Of course all of us said yes except for my brother who'd rather play WoW all day, because, well honestly it isn't a bad game I wouldn't blame him for staying. A rinse and repeat in the car later, we head into the mall to be dragged into clothing stores willingly. I got a new sketch pad out of it, and we also grabbed some Starbucks along the way.
And then in some, well, an actually well contained moment, my dad gets pulled aside by some old security guys on fabulous ass segways to question him. I don't always pull the race card, but I can't help myself when all them are white and he's black, and I'm sitting over here awkwardly with my siblings wondering if our dad's gonna get shot or some other crazy mcshizzle. And my mom is confused af. Fuckin' US society and media folks. It screws wonderfully with our pitiful excuses for brains. inkiecrazy:
The situation thankfully was nothing special, we'd been pulled aside by the police before. Like, about four times by now. See, my life isn't completely boring! We went on our merry ass ways, I threw away the wrapper to my tasty ass Starbucks cheese Danish, and we went home.
Same ish happens in the car, I listen to my music, sadly not being able to touch my beautiful sketchbooks fine pages since the car bumps all over the place, and my sister falls out of her seat. Finally.
When we pop back home, I notice it's flippin' near the end of seven PM, and I still haven't finished my French homework. One tiny freak out later, I get some help from my parents (they're both fluent in the language), and I figure out why the security pulled him aside. Because some person saw my dad rubbing my shoulder, and immediately ran off to report it.
Honestly, I can't blame them. Who knew what was going on in the moment when you see some short black guy rubbing some random girl's shoulder in the middle of a mall surrounded by five others who look exactly like her- now I don't side with that person as much now.
Oh well, it's over now and I'm tired as shit. Night.
